Each year we strive to bring in the most relevant, up to date, informational speakers possible to Manitoba Ag Days. This year is no exception: the program has been finalized for the 2026 show and the depth of knowledge in this list is profound!
We could not put on such a world class speaking event if it were not for our partnerships with FCC, MNP, Manitoba Agriculture, Manitoba Canola Growers Association, Manitoba Crop Alliance and the Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers Association and of course the presenters themselves. Toban Dyck and Jay Whetter, The Extensionists
Toban Dyck is a grain farmer and an award-winning writer/columnist. He is the principal of Burr Forest Group, an agricultural service company focused on working with provincial and national farm organizations to effectively communicate their value, extend their research, and better engage with industry, lawmakers, and the public.
Jay Whetter is the editor of Canola Digest magazine and a communications manager with the Canola Council of Canada. Jay has been a farm journalist for 25 years, and won the Canadian Farm Writers Federation’s “Farm Writer of the Year” in 2021, the first year it was awarded. Jay grew up on a farm in southwest Manitoba and now lives in Winnipeg.
