2018 Inventor’s Showcase Awards
The annual Investor’s Showcase features NEW INVENTIONS and NEW PRODUCTS that will assist in farm operations. This year’s showcase features 14 new inventions and 17 new products. “It has been extremely challenging to declare a winner” stated Dave Laudin, Judge and Board Co – Chair. “We encourage everyone to take time to have a look at these great New Inventions and New Products and understand how they can positively impact their farming operation.” Said Brad Crammond, Co-Chair Manitoba Ag Days.
Manitoba Ag Day’s strives to be at the forefront of new innovations and technology and would like to thank the following candidates for their efforts in bringing these new products to the industry.
INVENTORS SHOWCASE WINNERS 2018:
1st Place Soaring Eagle
The ultimate swinging drive over, not just a swing auger, not just a drive over, but a ultimate swinging drive over that is designed to drive over, swing from hopper to hopper, very low profile with 2.5 inches and also transport the same as a swing auger.
2nd PLACE: GEM-L Inc.
The Wilson Pacesetter equipped with the AgriLite conveyor system provides farms with a year-round time saving piece of equipment. Fill air seeders, deep banders, and spreaders at over 4,000 lbs/min.
BEST NEW PRODUCT WINNER 2018:
1st Place: CropPro Consulting SWAT MAPS / SWATBOX SWATMAPS is CroPro’s variable rate seed and fertilizer prescription service for Westen Canadian farmers. Its foundation is based on soil, water and topography data. SWATBOX is a tool that collects the soil electrical conductivity data required for SWAT MAPS. SWATBOX is powered by and towed behind a farmer’s seeding or tillage tool and does not require the attention of the operator. Once SWATBOX receives power from the tractor it automatically starts recording geo referenced soil data that is wirelessly synced to the CropPro server.
