Just 43 days to the 43rd Annual Manitoba Ag Days Show!

We are only 43 days away from the 43rd Annual Manitoba Ag Days Show. We are all set to transform the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba on January 21-23rd,2020 into Canada’s Largest Indoor Farm Show.

The event is truly one of a kind in Manitoba. “As the first event in the new year, it really is where the ag year begins”, explains Kristen Phillips, Manitoba Ag Days General Manager. The three-day event is an exposition of agricultural technology and equipment that attracts exhibitors and patrons from all over Canada, the northern United States and aboard.

This year Manitoba Ag Days will welcome 550 exhibitors encompassing all 540,000 square feet of the Keystone Centre. That is 10 acres of 100% purely agriculture related displays all under one roof! “This years’ show theme is Technology and Innovation in Agriculture #2020vision. There is so much excitement around this years’ theme! Technology in agriculture is truly changing our operations on a daily basis” stated Brad Crammond, Manitoba Ag Days Board Co-Chair.

In October the board announced the very popular Inventor’s Showcase will be revamped to the Innovation Showcase. “The showcase has always been a big attraction for the show. Showcasing the latest and greatest new inventions and advancements is so important as we as farmers try to understand how these new advancements can positively impact our day to day business. The new Innovation Showcase will be more encompassing to what is happening in agriculture and give all companies a chance to showcase their advancements” explained Crammond. The Innovation Showcase will have 7 categories and a total of 32 entries. The categories include Agronomics, Animal and Livestock, Agriculture Equipment, Agribusiness Services, Ag Tech, Farm Safety Farmer and Problems Solved. DOT will be making its inaugural appearance in Manitoba. This new technology is the first of its kind and is set to revolutionize the robotic component of the industry. You can also expect to see 69 speakers presenting on a variety of topics impacting agriculture throughout the three days of the show including a presentation on the evolution of DOT. “This year’s program is an exceptional lineup of knowledge and expertise on an array of topics that are relevant to our industry,” stated Guthrie. Agronomy continues to be a real focus as well as technology and innovation. Every topic will be covered, and we are excited to have highlight speakers like Rex Murphy and Kristjan Hebert join us. Drew Learner will share his thoughts on whether the drought on the prairies is really over and Dr. Keri; Prairie Vet will enlighten the crowd on Raising livestock under the social microscope. Manitoba Ag Days remains to be one of the last exhibitions to have complimentary admission and parking. “Agriculture plays a very important role in our economy in Manitoba and Western Canada and the board really wants everyone to experience agriculture and see if up close and personal. We welcome everyone to come down to the Keystone Center in Brandon Manitoba January 21-23rd and see what this amazing industry has to offer” stated Guthrie.
