Briana is the CEO and Lead Scientist at the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing. Over the last decade, her work has focused on understanding farmer mental health and helping develop evidence-based mental health programming for Canadian farmers.

Bryce was raised on a mixed cattle and grain farm near Wawanesa, MB, and is a proud fourth generation “Aggie” with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba. After two decades of owning and operating his own apiary, Bryce returned to school to pursue a Psychiatric Nursing degree at Brandon University. His lived experience with farm stress, mental health challenges, and recovery fuels his passion for fostering connection and resilience in the agricultural community. As a Research Assistant with the Centre for Critical Studies of Rural Mental Health, Bryce works to bridge the worlds of agriculture and mental health through research, peer support, and advocacy.

Gerry, also known as The Recovering Farmer, grew up on a poultry and grain farm near Wawanesa, Manitoba and later became involved in the family farm, including the start of a hog operation. Drawing on lived experience in agriculture, as well as his own journey with anxiety and depression, Gerry shifted his focus to stress and conflict management, counselling, and conflict resolution. In 2021, he co-founded the Manitoba Farmer Wellness Program, providing accessible, confidential mental health support tailored to farmers, their families, and farm employees. Gerry is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges with practical tools, compassion, and hope.
