2024 is about all things Produced on the Prairies

Manitoba Ag Days 2024 will showcase “People, products, and opportunities that are Produced on the Prairies.” said Brad Crammond, Co-Chair of the Manitoba Ag Days Board of Directors. He went on to say, “The theme, Produced on the Prairies, will be evident throughout the show in a number of ways, including through new events and partnerships as well as in our speaking theatres.”

If you are looking for something to do on Monday before the show, a NEW craft beer tasting event will be held from 7pm – 10 pm in the Provincial Exhibition Historic Dome Building and will feature over a dozen local breweries. “These breweries represent entrepreneurs who have invested hours of time and energy into perfecting their craft and offering a unique flavor for their customers. We can’t wait to see people realize the diversity of the prairie brew industry, and hopefully go home with a new favorite beer.” said show experience co-chair Scott Perkin.

On Tuesday, a NEW partnership is in the spotlight, as Great Tastes of Manitoba (GTOM) and Manitoba Ag Days premiere their mini documentary series, Produced on the Prairies. Each day of the show a NEW video will be shown exclusively to our Ag Days audience. The whole series will be available as part of the 35th season of GTOM next fall, but if you want to see them first, you have to be in the theaters at Ag Days!

Finally, there are a number of speakers in this years’ program who exemplify the talent pool in prairie agriculture. You can look forward to hearing from the food and beverage entrepreneurs behind the brands Tool Shed Brewing and Tomahawk Chips. You can hear how farmers are involved in co-creating the next agricultural equipment innovations or how social media connects prairie producers and impacts their bottom line.

“Agriculture has a huge impact across the prairies and this theme is a way to showcase and celebrate the many ways in which agriculture influences the economy, job creation, and trade. At Manitoba Ag Days we can see examples of farmer-built innovations, entrepreneurial visionaries and the human impact of ag-focused educational investments.” commented the show General Manager, Kristen Phillips.

The Manitoba Ag Days show is an annual three-day exposition of agriculture production expertise, technology and equipment that attracts exhibitors and visitors from across Canada and the United States of America held at the Keystone Centre in Brandon Manitoba. The speaking program will take place throughout the three-day event in the FCC and MNP theatres.  The 2024 show dates are Tuesday, January 16 – Thursday, January 18.
