Prior to joining CCGA, Dave spent eight years with the Canadian Seed Trade Association (now Seeds Canada), including three years as Executive Director.
Dave currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance (CAFTA) which represents 90% of all agriculture and food exports and in 2021, Dave founded and now Co-Chairs the Agriculture Carbon Alliance (ACA), a first of its kind coalition of 15 national farm groups focused on advocacy on agri-environmental policy issues, including the introduction and support of legislation to exempt farmers from carbon tax on natural gas and propane used on farm.
Dave began his career on Parliament Hill as a senior political staffer for Members of Parliament from Ontario and Alberta and held senior roles on three election campaigns.
Dave has been recognized by his peers for his excellence in government relations and has been included in the ‘The Hill Times Top 100 Lobbyists in Canada in 2021, 2022 and 2023.’
