While some insects, such as grasshoppers and aphids, were overall of less concern in Manitoba in 2025 compared to recent years, some insects had substantial population increases. Join John as he shares details on the cabbage seedpod weevil, pea leaf weevil and the alfalfa weevil as well as other insects of concern in 2025 including flea beetles, bertha armyworm and diamondback moth in canola, armyworms in cereals, and Lygus bugs and cutworms.
