Manitoba Ag Days Gives Back Deadline Approaching

Manitoba Ag Days Gives Back Deadline Approaching

Applications for community grants, the AED cost share and post-secondary scholarships are being
accepted until November 1, 2025 and winners will be announced at the 2026 show in January.
Manitoba Ag Days has a strong tradition of investing in rural communities and agriculture education
through the Ag Days Gives Back program. At the 2025 show $55,000 in funds were awarded, in the form
of sixteen community grants, three post-secondary scholarships and support for Ag in the Classroom –
Manitoba. Since the program’s inception in 2013 Manitoba Ag Days Gives Back has committed
$536,377.50 to building the agriculture community.

Community grants of $2000 each are open to community fire departments and can be used for any
component of a project, including infrastructure, supplies, equipment, volunteers or training. The total
project budget may not exceed $50,000. In an effort to encourage diverse participation, priority will be
given to communities/projects that have not received funding within the last three years.
Community AED cost share applications are also open to any community organization that wishes to
install an AED. Ag Days Gives Back will contribute two thirds of the cost for this life saving device to ten
community organizations.

Post-secondary scholarships of $2000 each are open to students in their final year of high school or to
post secondary students. All agricultural related education and training is eligible, including degree,
diploma, certificate and trade programs. Applicants are asked to complete the form and include a
written or video biography outlining their community involvement and volunteerism, career goals and
aspirations and how they see themselves fitting into the ag industry.

Manitoba Ag Days is proud to support the communities where our visitors and exhibitors live. Vibrant
rural communities are an essential part of the agricultural industry and this program demonstrates our
ongoing commitment to agriculture. For more information, including the application forms, please visit
