Jay Whetter likes to let a conversation flow naturally, and will happily scurry down a rabbit hole.

Jay grew up on Chain Lakes Farm near Dand, Manitoba and has been a farm journalist since 1998.

He started in radio, moved quickly to print, then expanded to podcasting. He is the editor of Canola Digest magazine, coordinates the Canola Council of Canada’s Canola Watch agronomy updates, and is always on the lookout for innovations and ideas that might interest farmers.

He also co-hosts The Extensionists podcast with Toban Dyck.

Bryan tells the story of how he got into creating mods for the popular Farming Simulator game and shows some of the equipment that you will find at the show in the game.

He will also talk about how farming virtually in the game can translate to the real world for people unfamiliar with farming as a learning tool and a chance to discover something new for those who are well versed in agriculture.

Join Bryan for a chance to win one of five collector edition box sets of Farming Simulator for PCs. Must be in attendance to win!
