Manitoba Ag Days will be taking place at the Keystone Centre in Brandon Manitoba from January 21-23rd, 2020. The three days exposition encompasses everything imaginable in agriculture. It is 100% Pure Farm. This fall Manitoba Ag Days announced a revamping of their popular Inventors Showcase to Innovation Showcase.
Innovation and Technology is changing the way we operate our businesses at a rapid rate, and it was time that we revamped the feature to encompass all the truly amazing and inspiring advancements happening in agriculture. We are now able to showcase 32 companies amazing advancements in 7 different categories.

Innovation Showcase contestants will be identified with signage throughout the three days of the show. Pack your best boots and get ready to dance the night away! Manitoba Ag Days is happy to announce the good old Manitoba Social will be back again for the 43rd Annual Manitoba Ag Days show happening at the Keystone Centre in Brandon Manitoba from January 21-23rd, 2020!

“After a successful first year we are excited to have the event back for the 2020 show”, stated David Laudin, Manitoba Ag Days Co-chair. “We are really excited to offer an after-hour event for our Ag Community. We have moved the location to the Imperial Ballroom at the Victoria Inn. This facility can accommodate an even larger crowd and has well equipped acoustic as we are proud to announce MCMA’s Male Artist and Fan’s Choice recipient Ryan Keown (along with his band) will be playing live at this year social on Wednesday January 22, 2020.”

It is going to be a fun evening of great people, socializing, and dancing to fantastic music. Tickets will be $20.00 and can be purchased by emailing social@agdays.com. Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly back to agriculture related charities through the Manitoba Ag Days Gives Back Fund.

We are only 43 days away from the 43rd Annual Manitoba Ag Days Show. We are all set to transform the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba on January 21-23rd,2020 into Canada’s Largest Indoor Farm Show.

The event is truly one of a kind in Manitoba. “As the first event in the new year, it really is where the ag year begins”, explains Kristen Phillips, Manitoba Ag Days General Manager. The three-day event is an exposition of agricultural technology and equipment that attracts exhibitors and patrons from all over Canada, the northern United States and aboard.

This year Manitoba Ag Days will welcome 550 exhibitors encompassing all 540,000 square feet of the Keystone Centre. That is 10 acres of 100% purely agriculture related displays all under one roof! “This years’ show theme is Technology and Innovation in Agriculture #2020vision. There is so much excitement around this years’ theme! Technology in agriculture is truly changing our operations on a daily basis” stated Brad Crammond, Manitoba Ag Days Board Co-Chair.

In October the board announced the very popular Inventor’s Showcase will be revamped to the Innovation Showcase. “The showcase has always been a big attraction for the show. Showcasing the latest and greatest new inventions and advancements is so important as we as farmers try to understand how these new advancements can positively impact our day to day business. The new Innovation Showcase will be more encompassing to what is happening in agriculture and give all companies a chance to showcase their advancements” explained Crammond. The Innovation Showcase will have 7 categories and a total of 32 entries. The categories include Agronomics, Animal and Livestock, Agriculture Equipment, Agribusiness Services, Ag Tech, Farm Safety Farmer and Problems Solved. DOT will be making its inaugural appearance in Manitoba. This new technology is the first of its kind and is set to revolutionize the robotic component of the industry. You can also expect to see 69 speakers presenting on a variety of topics impacting agriculture throughout the three days of the show including a presentation on the evolution of DOT. “This year’s program is an exceptional lineup of knowledge and expertise on an array of topics that are relevant to our industry,” stated Guthrie. Agronomy continues to be a real focus as well as technology and innovation. Every topic will be covered, and we are excited to have highlight speakers like Rex Murphy and Kristjan Hebert join us. Drew Learner will share his thoughts on whether the drought on the prairies is really over and Dr. Keri; Prairie Vet will enlighten the crowd on Raising livestock under the social microscope. Manitoba Ag Days Gives Back Deadline Approaching

 

Manitoba Ag Days would like to help your community project become a reality. The deadline for non- profit charitable organizations and Assiniboine Community College Agri Business students to submit applications is November 15th with grants awarded at the 2020 show in January.  “The goal of the fund is to be able to share some of the show’s success with the rural communities where our patrons and exhibitors call home. We have had an excellent response over the past years and are always eager to help out everyone we can.” stated Kristen Phillips, Manitoba Ag Days General Manager.   To date Manitoba Ag Days has given back over $26,000 annually to a total well over $260,000 to community organization throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan. 

If your community, hospital, emergency services or museum has a project that is looking for capital funding please apply.   There are four different categories that include local community infrastructure upgrades and improvements, agriculture and heritage, safety and emergency services and agriculture youth education.  For more information please visit https://www.agdays.com/community-giving-program/

Manitoba Ag Days launches their NEW INNOVATON SHOWCASE!

David Laudin, Co-chairmen for Manitoba Ag Days, is proud to announce that we are making some changes for the 2020 show to better promote and enhance our industry.  David explains, “We want to give all of our exhibitors’ equal opportunity to highlight their innovations and technology enhancements at our show.  The Inventors’ Showcase has been a long standing feature of our show but we felt it limited our existing exhibitors to launch products at our show.  So, to level the playing field we decided to eliminate the Inventors’ Showcase, New Products Feature and Farm Safety Feature categories at our show and rebrand this the Innovation Showcase.”  Current, Existing and New Exhibitors will each have the opportunity to apply to enter the Innovation Showcase if they so choose and now they can pick one of 7 categories to enter. Brad Crammond, Co-chairmen for Manitoba Ag Days stated, “Innovation and Technology is at the forefront in everything that we do now a days and the Ag Industry is not legging behind.  Our theme for the 2020 show is Technology and Innovation in Agriculture.  We want to help launch your vision so our hashtag for this years’ show is #2020vision.”

There will be 7 categories in the Innovation Showcase with the goal of “Advancing the Field”.  Manitoba Ag Days will be awarding prize money to 1st and 2nd place in each category and Glacier FarmMedia will be rewarding an advertising packages to the 1st and 2nd place winner in each category. *

CATEGORIES

Agronomics Awarded to the company that has developed a new technology that improves crop production including innovation in genetics, pesticide application (non-mechanical), and the process of producing a crop.

 

Animal and Livestock Awarded to the company that has a new technology that assists in the health and well-being of livestock animals.

 

Agriculture Equipment Awarded to the company that has developed a new equipment concept or technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with farming application.

 

Agribusiness Services Awarded to the company that has developed a new technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with the management of their farm business and clients.

 

Ag Tech Awarded to the company that has developed a new concept or technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with farming applications.

 

Farm Safety Awarded to the company that has developed a new product that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with safety being of the utmost importance.

 

Farmer Problems Solved Awarded to the exhibitor that has developed a concept or technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with farming applications.  We are looking for the grassroot inventions in this category. If you like to tinker in your shop, garage or yard and have created something useful and progressive, we want you to be a feature of our show.

* If a category does not have any applicants on any given year then there will be no prize money awarded to that particular category in that year.
