Beginning in 1995 on the trading floor of the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange, David’s experience spans almost 25 years working with individual, corporate & institutional clients at multinational and boutique investment firms. Today, he helps farm businesses protect their revenue, manage market risk and balance their investments to keep their financial strategies ahead of the curve.

Tim graduated in 1985 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and has worked in the agriculture industry since then. His experience includes working in crop protection, as a crop insurance adjustor, and more recently as a Forage & Livestock Specialist with the province. He and his wife Caron have owned and operated a 2160 acre beef cow/calf, backgrounding, and forage operation in the north Interlake for the past 29 years. Tim enjoys fishing and hunting, and playing with his 4 grandchildren.

Justine Cornelsen is part of the Crop Production and Innovation Team with the Canola Council of Canada (CCC). Justine works from her hometown of Onanole as the Agronomy Specialist for the Western Manitoba region. Her lead topic with the CCC is blackleg management and she chairs the Canadian Blackleg Steering Group. She takes special interest in integrated pest management and sustainable production.

Brennan Turner is the CEO of FarmLead.com, North America’s Grain Marketplace. He holds a degree in economics from Yale University and spent time on Wall Street before starting FarmLead. In 2017, Brennan was named to Fast Company’s List of Most Creative People in Business and, in 2018, a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. He’s originally from Foam Lake, SK, where his family started farming over 100 years ago and still turn dirt on 50,000 acres to this day! His views on ag markets are regularly featured in the likes of Bloomberg, CNBC, and the Financial Post.

Daryl Ritchison is currently the Interim Director of the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network (NDAWN) through North Dakota State University (NDSU). He spends his time on climate research, public outreach and development and enhancement of tools for NDAWN, a network of 102 weather stations located throughout North Dakota, eastern Montana and western Minnesota. He also presents short and long term forecasts for the state of North Dakota and the upper Midwest and is a well known public speaker on various topics. Previous to his current position he worked for 25 years as a meteorologist at various midwestern television stations including WDAY-TV and WDAZ-TV in Fargo and Grand Forks North Dakota.
