Holly Derksen is the Technical Support Specialist in Manitoba for Arysta LifeScience. She started in this position in October of 2018. Prior to that, Holly worked as the Field Crop Pathologist for Manitoba Agriculture for almost 7.5 years. Holly hold her B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Manitoba. She currently resides in Winkler with her husband and two young children.

Brooks and Jen White along with their two young children own and operate Borderland Agriculture near Pierson, MB. They are focused on integrating bison production into a diverse cropping system utilizing the principals of regenerative agriculture. They were recognized as Manitoba’s Outstanding Young Farmers in 2018.
John Buch, Americas Raw Material Manager, is responsible for Roquette’s raw material procurement, trading, and risk management for the Americas Region. He has been managing the regional efforts in regards to financial hedging, physical procurement and origination, country elevator operations at Roquette for six years. Prior to his role in Raw Materials, John had multiple roles in the Finance function for Roquette. Before Roquette, John spent five years working in the petrochemical business for Shell Chemicals. John has his MBA from the University of St. Thomas (Houston, TX), and his BS in Finance and Accounting from the University of Idaho.
I live on a small farm just outside of Elm Creek, Manitoba. We raise purebred Shorthorns as well as some pigs and fainting goats. Agriculture truly has made me who I am and I am grateful for all the opportunities this industry has blessed me with. Both of my parents are 4-H leaders of our local beef club and they’re the reason I am involved in such an amazing program. One of my favourite things to do is show cattle. I started through 4-H and quickly started attending more and more shows once I realized how much I loved it. I also love sharing my story as well as that of my animals with anyone who will listen.
Laura is the provincial Organic Specialist. Before that, she was Director of Canada’s national organic farming organization – Canadian Organic Growers. Laura has a PhD in Neuroscience from Queen’s University.
John grew up on grain and livestock farm, as a good farm kid went to U of M in Agriculture, masters in Soil Science, MBA. Angelika is a teacher, and early childhood educator.
We have been working internationally as consultants mostly in the Former Soviet Union. John has a small certified organic grain farm just south of Winnipeg, and is a Custom Pesticide Applicator. We started with Never Spill spout in 2003.
