The global demand for protein is growing at a fast pace and plant-based proteins are set to make up 1/3 of the world protein market by 2050. With trends like flexitarianism, clean meat and the introduction of the Beyond Burger, the domestic market for meat is changing. However, the global demand for meat is growing in other regions and prairie producers have an opportunity to meet that demand.
