As farm and equipment sizes get larger, reacting to extreme environmental conditions becomes more critical. Management decisions have to be made to get the job done in the window of time that’s available. Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) is currently completing two separate research projects in collaboration with Manitoba Crop Alliance that address soil compaction and grain drying to help producers make the best decisions they can.  There isn’t a play book but this research aims to assist you in managing these issues on your farm.
