Don has a long history of soil fertility teaching, research and outreach at the University of Manitoba. Not only has he taught soil fertility to many of the U of M’s agriculture diploma and degree grads over the last 25 years, he has also conducted research with applying N, P, K and S fertilizers, as well as livestock manures on Manitoba crops. Don will address some of the challenges of NPKS management that relate to fertilizer recommendations for profitable production of today’s high yielding crops, as well as recommendations for maintaining long term soil fertility.
